Upcoming Community Engagements

I’ve been working on some community things and wanted to share what’s up.

March 9 – Tulsa .NET – Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL for .NET devs

Did you know that you can use .NET to work with Postgres? Better yet, did you know that you can use .NET with Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL for data of any size? In this session, I will show you how to build a .NET app working with data from Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL using Npgsql.

May 5 – Stir Trek

Once again, I’ll be at Stir Trek, coordinating the volunteers and ensuring that event runs as smoothly as possible. This year’s event is coinciding with the launch of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. So we’ll have 48 sessions of content, breakfast and lunch, refreshments during the movie, and all sorts of fun swag!

Speakers and schedules aren’t announced yet – coming soon! Also, tickets will be coming soon too! Check the Stir Trek website or follow @stirtrek on Twitter for more details!

May 21-23 – MSPGeekCon

This is a new community-run conference geared for technicians in Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), and Technology Service Provider (TSPs). The MSP space is the environment my husband works in, and he’s watched me help with event planning for many events over the years. He’s also seeing the parts I didn’t talk about or the parts others handle. Some of their community came to CodeMash to see how a community-run conference feels, compared to how their vendor-run conferences go in their space. They’ve reached out to me about assisting with the volunteer efforts, so we’ll see how I can help them with that. I’m excited to see their line-up, with speakers like Kelvin Tegelaar, Kyle Hanslovan, John Strand, Aharon Chernin, John Hammond, and Ashley Cooper. Learn more about this event at: MSPGeekCon 2023
